Job summary

Urology-Clinics-of-North-Texas is seeking a Medical Records Clerk to maintain patient records, distribute reports to physicians, and handle test results in a timely manner. The role requires strong interpersonal and communication skills to assist patients, coworkers, and physicians.

You will scan documents into charts, download CT and pathology reports, and enter them into the Orders Database, while following established procedures and maintaining accuracy in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Qualifications

• Interpersonal and communication skills are essential for interacting with physicians, staff, and patients.
• Proficiency in documenting and communicating information accurately is required.
• Experience with medical office software is preferred.
• Ability to multitask and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced clinic.
• Familiarity with EMR/PM and scheduling systems is expected.
• Basic computer skills and comfort navigating a practice management system are needed.

Responsibilities

• Sort incoming faxes and route to the appropriate physician or Medical Assistant.
• Scan reports and notes into patient charts and obtain physician sign-off when required.
• Download CT and pathology reports and enter them into the Orders Database.
• Retrieve records in response to physician or Medical Assistant requests.
• Perform special projects as assigned by the Administrator or management.
• Maintain professional communication with patients, colleagues, and healthcare staff.
