United Surgical Partners International (USPI) South Plains Endoscopy Center seeks a meticulous Medical Records Clerk to manage and maintain patient health information for outpatient gastroenterology procedures. Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of hospital/ ASC medical records experience required.
• Knowledge of AAAHC Standards
• Ability to use time wisely in preparing work area to meet high-paced demand.
• Show a genuine desire to work and improve the center as a whole.
• Must be detail oriented.
• Must be able to communicate verbally and non-verbally in a professional manner.
• Must be able to adhere to facility's financial and admitting policies.
• Ability to promote positive relationships with patients and staff.
• Must know insurance verification and collection processes.
• Must have problem solving and decision-making skills.
• Professional appearance.
• Must demonstrate excellent phone etiquette and exceptional customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and maintain patient health information in medical records and charts.
• Ensure all paper and electronic records are complete, properly identified and signed.
• Copy, retrieve and track medical records requests.
• Assemble charts for peer reviews and conduct chart audits daily.
• Track dictations to ensure cases are dictated and follow-up with physicians for missing dictation.
