Qualifications

• Must hold CPC or CCS-P or CBCS certification.
• One year outpatient coding experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; AS in Medical Billing and Coding preferred.

Responsibilities

• Code, sequence and abstract outpatient records per ICD-10-CM and CPT guidelines.
• Query physicians for documentation clarifications to ensure accurate coding and reimbursement.
• Maintain compliance with coding guidelines and internal pre-determined procedures.
