Tufts Medical Center, Inc. is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide clinical and administrative support in an outpatient setting in Boston. You will assist physicians, document vitals, manage patient flow, and help with specimen collection and point-of-care testing.

The role requires a high school diploma, MA certification, and BLS (within 3 months). Experience 0–2 years is common; bilingual skills are a plus. Strong customer service and EMR proficiency are essential.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Medical Assistant National Certification Attestation (AAMA, AMCA, AMT, NCCT, or NHA).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or obtain within three months.
• 0–2 years of Medical Assistant experience.

Responsabilidades

• Controls and monitors patient flow to maximize provider and exam room efficiency.
• Prepares medical records for patient visits and confirms patient identifiers.
• Provides a high level of customer service in all patient interactions.
• Maintains a safe, clean environment for patients and families.
• Assists with examinations, treatments, and procedures as needed.
• Records vitals, pain levels, and medications; documents accurately.
• Performs specimen collection and point-of-care testing as ordered.
• Assists with referrals, prior authorizations, and billing documentation.
• Maintains inventory and supplies; supports quality improvement efforts.
