Job summary

American Family Care (AFC) is seeking a General Medical Assistant to provide patient care in an outpatient clinic setting. The role supports licensed providers and focuses on efficient, accurate clinical procedures.

Qualifications

• Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
• AMT registered and AAMA Certified Medical Assistants are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtain patient vitals, medical history, and reason for visit, and prepare the patient for a physical exam
• Explain prescribed procedures and treatments to patients
• Ensure all ordered tests are performed accurately and in a timely manner
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with the approved procedure
• Draw blood and prepare labs for reference lab processing and/or in-house processing
• Maintain complete and accurate documentation

Education
