Job summary

American Family Care is seeking an Medical Assistant to provide general medical care in an outpatient clinic setting under licensed supervision. You will collect vitals, explain procedures, and prepare patients for exams, while supporting in-clinic lab work and immunization documentation.

Qualifications

• AA degree or equivalent; or 6 months to 1 year related experience in medical assisting.

Responsibilities

• Obtain patient vitals, medical history, and reason for visit; prepare patient for exam.
• Explain prescribed procedures and treatments to patients.
• Ensure all ordered tests are performed accurately and timely.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments per procedure.
• Draw blood and prepare labs for processing.
