Job summary

Tulsa Comprehensive Treatment Center (CTC) in Tulsa, Oklahoma, part of Acadia Healthcare, is seeking a Substance Use Counselor to provide compassionate care for opioid use disorder. Roles include individual and group counseling with a focus on recovery and documentation.

The job requires a Master’s degree in social or health services, licensure or candidate status (LADC/LPC/LMFT/LCSW), and experience in MAT and behavioral health settings. Growth opportunities are strong.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in social or health services field required.
• Degree must be from an accredited college or university.
• Experience in addiction recovery or behavioral health settings.
• Familiarity with MAT (methadone, buprenorphine, naltrexone).
• Experience conducting individual and group counseling sessions for substance use recovery.
• Knowledge of CBT, MI and relapse prevention techniques.
• Documentation experience with clinical notes and treatment plans.
• Familiarity with regulatory standards (42 CFR Part 2, HIPAA, Joint Commission).
• Experience collaborating in a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Provide highquality guidance in individual and group counseling sessions.
• Plan, oversee, facilitate and document patient recovery.
• Co-facilitate group or family sessions as needed.
• Ensure timely, clear documentation of patient care and incidents.
• Prepare individual treatment plans for each patient.
• Conduct initial and follow-up assessments.
• Evaluate needs and referrals to other programs as needed.
• Plan for aftercare for assigned patients when appropriate.
• Provide crisis intervention as needed.
• Perform case management to ensure quality care.
• Act as liaison between referral sources and patients.
