Job summary

Tulsa Comprehensive Treatment Center is seeking a Substance Use Counselor to support patients with opioid use disorder. The role involves individual and group counseling, development of treatment plans, and documentation in compliance with state and federal guidelines.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in social or health services field required.
• Degree from an accredited college or university.
• Experience in addiction recovery or behavioral health settings (outpatient, residential, or correctional).
• Familiarity with Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT).
• Experience conducting individual and group counseling sessions.
• Knowledge of CBT, MI, and relapse prevention techniques.
• Documentation experience with clinical notes, treatment plans, and progress updates.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality, compassionate guidance in both individual and group counseling sessions.
• Plan, oversee, facilitate and document patient's recovery.
• Co-facilitate assigned group or family sessions as needed.
• Ensure all documentation regarding patient care, treatment, and incidents is completed timely and clearly.
• Prepare individual treatment plans for each assigned patient.
• Conduct initial assessments and follow-up assessments.
• Evaluate patient needs and referrals to other programs as needed.
• Plan for aftercare for assigned patients when appropriate.
• Provide crisis intervention when needed.
• Provide case management to ensure individualized quality care.
• Act as liaison between referral sources and patients.
