Job summary

Lynn Comprehensive Treatment Center in Lynn, MA is hiring a Substance Use Counselor for full-time early morning hours. You will provide compassionate individual and group counseling, document patient progress, and coordinate treatment plans in a multidisciplinary team.

Requirements include a Master’s degree or equivalent credentials in psychology, social work, or related health fields. Paid supervision, benefits, and growth opportunities are offered to support professional development.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in psychology, social work or related field.
• Must meet credentialing timelines (60 days).
• Experience in addiction recovery or behavioral health settings.
• Familiarity with MAT treatments (methadone, buprenorphine, naltrexone).

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality individual and group counseling.
• Plan, oversee, facilitate and document patient’s recovery.
• Co-facilitate group or family sessions as needed.
• Ensure documentation regarding patient care is complete and clear.
• Prepare individual treatment plans for each patient.
• Conduct initial and follow-up assessments.
• Evaluate patient needs and make referrals as needed.
• Plan aftercare for assigned patients as appropriate.
• Provide crisis intervention when needed.
• Perform case management and liaise with referral sources.
