Job summary

Spokane Comprehensive Treatment Center (CTC), part of Acadia Healthcare, seeks a Substance Use Counselor to support patients with opioid use disorder through individual and group counseling. The role emphasizes MAT familiarity, documentation, and collaborative care within a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• HS graduate or equivalent required
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in social or health services field preferred
• Experience in addiction recovery or behavioral health settings preferred
• Familiarity with MAT (methadone, buprenorphine, naltrexone) preferred
• Documentation of patient care, treatment plans, and progress in accordance with guidelines

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate guidance in individual and group counseling sessions
• Plan, oversee, facilitate and document patient recovery
• Co-facilitate group or family sessions as needed
• Ensure timely, clear documentation of patient care, treatment, and incidents
• Prepare individual treatment plans for each patient
• Conduct initial and follow-up assessments
• Evaluate patient needs and refer to other programs as needed
• May plan for aftercare for assigned patients
• Provide crisis intervention as needed
• Perform case management duties to ensure quality care
• Act as liaison between referral sources and patients
