Job summary

Advocate Health in Charlotte, NC, is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to join an outpatient Family Medicine clinic. You will prepare patients, perform basic lab procedures, assist physicians, administer medications, and contribute to patient education in a busy primary care setting.

The role requires strong communication, adherence to safety and infection control, and competence with electronic medical records.

Qualifications

• LPN license required in the practicing state.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification within 45 days.
• Completion of an accredited Practical Nursing program.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and room patients, document vital signs and complaints.
• Perform laboratory procedures using aseptic technique.
• Assist physicians with procedures and minor surgeries.
• Administer medications under orders and manage IV therapy within scope.
• Educate patients on tasks and follow up on tests and referrals.
• Document patient information accurately and communicate with the care team.
• Maintain exam rooms and equipment, and support quality improvement activities.
