Job summary

Inova Cardiology seeks a dedicated Outpatient Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a full-time day shift, Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm. Join a nationally recognized health system known for safety, quality and patient experience.

Will provide direct patient care under RN supervision, with focus on documentation, teamwork and continuous improvement. Minimum qualifications include Virginia LPN license and a Practical Nursing diploma; BLS required.

Qualifications

• Education: Vocational / Technical Diploma in Practical Nursing.
• License: Licensed Practical Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
• Experience: 0 years of experience.
• Certification: BLS from the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care utilizing the nursing process under the direction and supervision of the RN.
• Maintains and reviews patient medical records, notes and physician orders while documenting all patient care activities in accordance with documentation standards.
• Participates on unit teams, work groups and/or committees.
• Participates in quality and performance improvement initiatives.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
