Zusammenfassung

UCI Health seeks a qualified Coder II to perform coding for outpatient visits at UCI Medical Center. You will abstract and code using ICD-9-CM and CPT, and utilize the 3M encoder and SMS/Invision systems for accurate data entry.

You will also prepare production reports and participate in PI projects to support operational needs. Strong English communication and a minimum of two years hospital coding experience are required.

Qualifikationen

• Completed twelve (12)-month AHIMA approved coding certificate program.
• Skill to effectively assign codes.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet workload pace.
• Knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes.

Aufgaben

• Abstract and code outpatient visits (ED, Ambulatory Surgery, clinic) using ICD-9-CM and CPT.
• Use 3M encoder and SMS/Invision systems for coding and data entry.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly production reports.
• Participate in departmental PI projects and other duties as assigned to meet operational needs.
