Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care in Cadillac, MI seeks an entry-level professional registered nurse into the Clinical Advancement Program (CAP). The RN CAP1 provides and coordinates clinically competent care, conducts assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation for an assigned patient group, and may delegate tasks to care staff under supervision.

As part of the End Stage Kidney Disease team, you will participate in decision-making, teaching, leadership and quality improvement activities.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in applicable state and BLS/CPR certification.
• Graduate of accredited nursing program.
• Experience in nephrology or hemodialysis preferred but entry level acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Perform systematic collection and analysis of patient data during dialysis and document changes to the care plan.
• Provide patient/family education and support as part of ongoing care.
• Direct and coordinate safe delivery of hemodialysis therapy with the care team.
• Administer medications as prescribed and monitor effectiveness.
• Participate in training, orientation and quality improvement activities.
