Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking an entry-level Professional Registered Nurse for the Outpatient RN CAP 1 designation within the Clinical Advancement Program (CAP). You will coordinate and deliver clinically competent care for an assigned patient group, participate in teaching and quality improvement, and support the Eskd care team.

The role involves collaboration with RNs, LVN/LPNs, and Patient Care Technicians, with CAP requirements needed to advance.

Qualifications

• Entry level RN with less than 2 years of nephrology nursing experience
• Chronic/acute hemodialysis experience preferred
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; current state licensure
• Current CPR/BLS certification

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate clinically competent care including assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation for an assigned group of patients
• Perform nursing duties under supervision of the Supervisor/Clinical Educator in collaboration with RN staff
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and options
• Direct and participate in the daily provision of safe hemodialysis therapy
• Administer medications as prescribed and document effectiveness
• Ensure labs are collected, processed, and documented appropriately
• Contribute to quality improvement activities and staff training as assigned
• Assist with pre-, during-, and post-dialysis data collection and documentation
