Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care in Mundelein, IL is seeking an entry-level Registered Nurse CAP 1 to join the outpatient dialysis team. This position delivers and coordinates clinically competent care, including assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation for an assigned group of patients during hemodialysis.

On-the-job training is provided with rotating 8–12 hour shifts. The role offers comprehensive benefits, healthcare eligibility after 30 days, a 401(k) with company match, generous PTO, tuition

Qualifications

• Registered nurse entry level with less than 2 years of nephrology nursing experience.
• Chronic/acute hemodialysis experience preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing and state licensure required.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate clinically competent care for assigned patients during hemodialysis.
• Document patient data and adjust treatment plans in collaboration with the team.
• Educate patients and families on care plans.
• Administer medications per approved protocols.
• Assist with emergency response and staff training.
• Ensure laboratory collection and processing procedures are correct.
• Oversee and delegate tasks to PCTs/LPNs/RNs as team leader.
