Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care in Orland Park, IL seeks an entry-level Registered Nurse CAP 1 for our outpatient program. No dialysis experience required; on-the-job training is provided as you join the Clinical Advancement Program to develop dialysis competencies.

The role involves patient care during hemodialysis, collaboration with the care team, and ongoing education for patients and families. This is a full-time position with rotating shifts and strong benefits.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current state RN licensure.
• Current or successful CPR/BLS Certification.
• Entry level RN with <2 years nephrology nursing experience.
• Chronic/acute hemodialysis experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate care for assigned patients during dialysis.
• Coordinate care with RNs, LVNs/LPNs, and patient care technicians.
• Monitor patient data and document findings in medical records.
• Administer medications per prescribed protocol and document effectiveness.
• Participate in training and orientation of new staff.
