Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current appropriate state licensure.
• Current or successful CPR/BLS Certification.
• Must meet state practice requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform data collection and analysis of patient data during hemodialysis and document in medical records.
• Educate patients and families about learning needs.
• Direct safe and effective delivery of hemodialysis therapy.
• Administer medications per prescribed protocols.
• Initiate or assist with emergency response measures.
• Provide staff training and orientation as assigned.
• Ensure correct lab collection, processing and shipping procedures.
• Update nursing assessment and care plans with Interdisciplinary Team.
• Discuss transplant and treatment modality options with patients.
