Job summary

CH01 CHE Fresenius Medical Care (Schweiz) AG is seeking a professional registered nurse for the Outpatient RN CAP 2 role in Texas. The position involves providing and coordinating clinically competent dialysis care, including assessment, planning, and evaluation for an assigned patient group.

The nurse collaborates with RNs, LVN/LPNs, and Patient Care Technicians, participates in quality improvement, and may serve as a Preceptor while completing CAP requirements to advance.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in the relevant state.
• Minimum 2 years of nephrology nursing experience.
• Current CPR/BLS certification and successful maintenance of licensure.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care for an assigned group of patients.
• Document patient data and adjust care plans in collaboration with the Interdisciplinary Team.
• Administer medications per physician orders and approved protocols.
• Educate patients and families on treatment modalities, transplant options, and home care considerations.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to technicians and junior staff as a CAP/Preceptor as assigned.
