Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking an entry-level Registered Nurse for the Outpatient RN CAP 1 within the Clinical Advancement Program (CAP). You will provide and coordinate clinically competent care, assess patients undergoing hemodialysis, plan interventions, and document in the medical record.

You will collaborate with RNs, LVN/LPNs, and Patient Care Technicians; participate in education, quality improvement activities, and support ongoing professional development as part of a dedicated kidney

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current appropriate state licensure.
• Current or successful CPR BLS Certification.

Responsibilities

• Performs essential functions under supervision and guidance of Nurse leadership.
• Collects and analyzes patient data before, during, and after hemodialysis; documents in medical record.
• Educates patients and families about care plans.
• Delivers safe hemodialysis therapy in collaboration with nursing and support staff.
• Administers medications as prescribed or per approved algorithms.
• Assists with emergency response measures when needed.
• Acts as resource to health care team and participates in staff training.
• Ensures proper laboratory collection and processing; reschedules missed collections.
• Updates nursing assessments and care plans with Interdisciplinary Team.
