Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is hiring an entry-level registered nurse for the Outpatient RN CAP 1 program, focusing on assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation for an assigned group of patients. This role supports the End Stage Kidney Disease care team, delegating tasks to RNs, LVN/LPNs and Patient Care Technicians, and participating in education and quality improvement.

The position emphasizes clinical advancement through CAP requirements, with responsibilities including safe dialysis

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
Current appropriate state licensure.
Current or successful completion of CPR/BLS Certification.
Must meet the practice requirements in the state in which he or she is employed.

Responsibilities

Provide and coordinate clinically competent care, including assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation for an assigned group of patients.
Document patient data and adjust treatment plans as needed.
Educate patients and family on learning needs.
Administer medications and participate in emergency response measures.
Lead and train staff, and participate in quality improvement.
