Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care in Kansas is seeking an entry-level RN CAP1 to join the Clinical Advancement Program. You will provide and coordinate comprehensive nursing care for an assigned patient group, including assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation, while collaborating with RNs, LVNs/LPNs and patient care technicians.

As part of the End Stage Kidney Disease team, you will participate in decision-making, teaching, leadership and quality improvement activities that enhance patient care

Qualifications

• RN licensure in the applicable state and active CPR/BLS certification.
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with ongoing licensure requirements.
• Entry-level RN with potential to advance through the Clinical Advancement Program.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate clinically competent care for an assigned patient group.
• Assess, plan, intervene and evaluate patient care and document in medical records.
• Collaborate with RNs, LVN/LPNs and Patient Care Technicians for safe hemodialysis delivery.
• Administer medications as prescribed and document effectiveness.
• Participate in emergency response measures and staff training.
• Support lab procedures, data collection and adherence to policies and standards.
• Contribute to nursing assessments and care plans with interdisciplinary team.
• Disclose transplant and treatment modality options to patients as appropriate.

Skills

Nephrology nursing (less than 2 yrs)

Hemodialysis experience (preferred)

Education

RN license in state (e.g., Kansas)

CPR/BLS certification

Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
