Job summary

Fresenius Kidney Care in Newton, Kansas is seeking an entry-level Registered Nurse for the Clinical Advancement Program (CAP 1). You will provide and coordinate clinically competent care for an assigned group of patients, including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.

As a member of the End Stage Kidney Disease team, you will collaborate with RNs, LVN/LPNs, and patient care technicians, participate in teaching, leadership, and quality improvement activities to improve patient

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current RN licensure in the state.
• Current or successful CPR BLS Certification.
• Must meet the practice requirements in the state where employed.

Responsibilities

• Assess and document patient data during dialysis and adjust care plan as directed.
• Coordinate care with RNs, LVN/LPNs, and Patient Care Technicians.
• Provide patient education to patients and families.
• Deliver safe and effective hemodialysis therapy with the team.
• Administer medications per prescriptions or approved algorithms.
• Participate in staff training and orientation of new staff.
