Fresenius Medical Care is seeking an entry-level Registered Nurse for the Outpatient CAP 1 track to support the End Stage Kidney Disease care team with assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients.

You will collaborate with RNs, LVN/LPNs and Patient Care Technicians, ensure safe hemodialysis delivery, document in the medical record, participate in teaching and quality improvement activities, and advance through CAP requirements.

Qualificações

• Entry level RN with less than 2 years of nephrology nursing experience.
• Experience in chronic/acute hemodialysis is preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Performs all essential functions under supervision and guidance from Clinical Educator, Preceptor or RN colleagues.
• Collects and analyzes patient data during pre-, during-, and post-hemodialysis and updates the plan of care.
• Educates patients and family on learning needs and treatment options.
• Delivers safe and effective hemodialysis therapy in collaboration with staff.
• Administers medications per protocol and documents effectiveness.
• Initiates emergency response measures as needed.
• Serves as a resource and participates in staff training and orientation.
• Ensures proper lab collection, processing and documentation.
• Identifies expected outcomes and updates nursing assessment with the Interdisciplinary Team.
• Assists with transplant and modality education for patients.
• Meets CAP requirements to advance.

Conhecimentos

Nephrology nursing

Hemodialysis experience

RN license

Formação

Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing

State RN licensure

CPR BLS Certification
