Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking an entry-level Registered Nurse for the Outpatient CAP 1 program. This role provides and coordinates clinically competent care for an assigned group of patients undergoing hemodialysis, including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.

You will collaborate with RNs, LVN/LPNs, and Patient Care Technicians, administer medications as prescribed, participate in emergency response, and contribute to education for patients and families.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current appropriate state licensure.
• CPR BLS Certification.
• Must meet the practice requirements in the state in which he or she is employed.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate clinically competent care including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
• Collaborate with RNs, LVN/LPNs, and Patient Care Technicians to deliver safe hemodialysis care.
• Administer medications as prescribed or per algorithm and document effectiveness.
• Direct daily delivery of hemodialysis therapy for assigned patients and respond to emergencies.
• Educate patients and families on care, transplantation, and treatment options.
