Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care in United States is seeking an entry-level Registered Nurse for the Outpatient CAP 1 program. You will provide and coordinate hemofiltration/hemodialysis care, assess patients, plan care, and collaborate with the care team to improve outcomes.

Ideal candidates have nursing education, state license, BLS/CPR, and at least 9 months RN experience with 3 months in dialysis; CAP requirements to advance are expected. Travel to training sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current appropriate state licensure.
• Current or successful CPR BLS Certification.
• Must meet the practice requirements in the state.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate care for dialysis patients under supervision.
• Document data and adjust treatment plans as needed; notify team leaders.
• Educate patients and families about care and treatment options.
• Direct daily delivery of safe hemodialysis with staff collaboration.
• Administer medications per protocol and document effectiveness.
• Participate in staff training and quality improvement activities.
