Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current appropriate state licensure.
• Current or successful completion of CPR BLS Certification.
• Must meet the practice requirements in the state in which employed.
• Entry level for RNs with less than 2 years of Nephrology Nursing experience.
• Chronic/acute hemodialysis experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care for assigned patients.
• Document patient data and update care plans in the medical record.
• Administer medications as prescribed following approved algorithms.
• Provide education to patients and families about care and treatment options.
• Direct and assist with delivery of hemodialysis therapy and safety.
