Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care in Fort Lawn, SC is seeking an entry‑level RN for the Outpatient RN CAP 2 track within the Clinical Advancement Program. The role provides and coordinates clinically competent care for an assigned patient group, including assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation, with guidance from the care team.

The RN CAP 2 collaborates with RNs, LVN/LPNs and Patient Care Technicians, participates in education and quality initiatives, and may serve as a preceptor.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current appropriate state licensure.
• Current or successful completion of CPR BLS Certification.
• Must meet the practice requirements in the state in which employed.
• Entry level RN with minimum of 2 years of Nephrology Nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs all essential functions under the direction of the Supervisor and with guidance from Clinical Educator, Preceptor or collaboration with other RNs.
• Collects and analyzes patient data before, during, and after hemodialysis and documents in the chart.
• Adjusts treatment plans as indicated and notifies supervisors or physicians as needed.
• Provides patient/family education and counseling on care and treatment options.
• Directs daily provision of safe and effective hemodialysis therapy in collaboration with staff.
