Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care Zeeland is seeking an Outpatient Registered Nurse (RN) to provide and coordinate clinically competent care for patients undergoing hemodialysis. You will assess, plan, intervene, and evaluate patient needs and collaborate with RNs, LVNs, and PCTs to deliver safe dialysis therapy.

The role requires graduation from an accredited nursing program, current state RN licensure, and CPR/BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current state RN licensure is required.
• CPR-BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform ongoing assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation for assigned patients undergoing hemodialysis.
• Document patient data in the medical record and adjust care plan as needed.
• Administer medications per physician orders or approved protocols and monitor effectiveness.
• Provide patient and family education and support the care team and orientation of new staff.
• Ensure proper lab collection, processing and shipping procedures.
