Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking an entry-level Outpatient RN CAP 1 to coordinate and deliver nephrology nursing care. You will perform assessments, plan care, and document outcomes as part of the End Stage Kidney Disease care team.

The role requires graduation from an accredited nursing program, state licensure, and CPR/BLS. Nurses with limited nephrology experience are encouraged to apply and will advance through the CAP program.

Qualifications

• Entry level RN with less than 2 years in nephrology nursing.
• Chronic/acute hemodialysis experience in RN is preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing and state licensure required.

Responsibilities

• Collect and analyze patient data before, during, and after hemodialysis and adjust care as needed.
• Coordinate with care team to provide safe, effective dialysis and document in medical records.
• Educate patients and families about treatment plans and options.
• Administer medications per orders and approved algorithms; participate in emergency responses.
• Lead or supervise other staff as assigned and support training of new personnel.
