Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care seeks an entry-level Professional Registered Nurse for the Outpatient RN CAP1 role in Cicero, IL. You will provide and coordinate clinically competent care for dialysis patients under supervision.

Responsibilities include data collection during hemodialysis, patient education, medication administration, and teamwork with RNs, LVNs/LPNs, and Patient Care Technicians. Current state RN licensure and CPR/BLS are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current appropriate state licensure.
• Current CPR/BLS Certification.
• Must meet state practice requirements.

Responsibilities

• Performs essential nursing functions under supervision and guidance.
• Collects and analyzes patient data during dialysis and documents in the medical record; adjusts care as needed.
• Educates patients and families about learning needs and treatment plans.
• Delivers safe and effective hemodialysis care with the team, and administers medications per protocol.
