FDIHB is seeking a qualified Outpatient Coder in Fort Defiance, AZ to review records and assign ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT and HCPCS codes in the RPMS system. You will ensure accurate documentation, perform audits, and maintain HIPAA compliance.

Candidates must have at least two years of outpatient coding experience or RHIT certification, plus AHIMA/AAPC coding credentials, and a valid driver’s license. This role requires strict attention to detail and collaboration with clinical staff.

Formación

• Two years or more of outpatient coding experience.
• RHIT certification or relevant university/technical certification.
• Certification within one year of hire.

Responsabilidades

• Retrieves information from RPMS and reviews records for correct codes.
• Assigns ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT, HCPCS codes per guidelines and CMS rules.
• Audits E/M levels and data for accuracy and completeness.
• Maintains HIPAA compliance and protects patient information.
