• Knowledge of ICD-10-CM/PCS and CPT coding guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Assign accurate outpatient, ER, therapy, and clinic codes from documentation.
• Interact with physicians to obtain or clarify diagnoses and procedures.
• Maintain coding quality and comply with AHIMA guidelines.
• Query physicians when needed using established processes.
