Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year of coding for professional services.
• Proficiency in anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and Google Suite.

Responsibilities

• Assigns CPT, HCPCS and ICD-10-CM codes for inpatient and outpatient encounters.
• Abstracts data accurately into the EMR per CMS guidelines.
• Querys physicians when documentation is missing or unclear.
• Monitor productivity and quality targets as required by the organization.
• Maintain compliance with coding policies and organizational standards.
