Ideal candidates possess a high school diploma or GED, at least one year of outpatient coding experience, and strong medical terminology knowledge. Proficiency in MS Office and Google Suite is required, with excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of coding for professional services.
• Strong understanding of physiology, medical terms and anatomy.
• Proficiency in typing with speed and accuracy.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Abstract data following ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS guidelines for CMS directives across the HMH network.
• Enter abstracted patient information into the electronic medical record system.
• Query physicians when appropriate.
