CORA Physical Therapy is seeking a Patient Services Coordinator at the West Ocala Clinic to support the front desk and patient experience in a busy outpatient setting.

You will greet patients, handle calls, verify insurance, manage referrals, and collect payments, all while maintaining a welcoming environment and accurate records. This role emphasizes empathy, reliability, and teamwork with healthcare professionals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Recent customer service experience required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Strong communication, organization, and time management skills.
• Reliable, honest, and adaptable in fast-paced team environments.
• Preferred: healthcare office experience, familiarity with basic medical terminology, and fluency in Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients warmly and build rapport through in-person and phone interactions.
• Screen and answer incoming calls promptly; take messages and relay information as needed.
• Verify outpatient therapy insurance benefits and advise patients of financial responsibilities such as co-pays and deductibles.
• Manage incoming physician referrals and prescriptions; communicate first visit expectations to new patients.
• Scan insurance cards, ID cards, and relevant paperwork into patient files.
• Collect co-pays and deductibles, provide receipts, balance daily collections, and submit charges to the Clinic Manager.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming clinic environment; sanitize spaces according to CDC guidelines.
