Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent preferred.
• A minimum of 2 years working in an outpatient clinical setting or related setting preferred.
• Applicant should be familiar with medical terminology, coding and preauthorization processes, as well as with hospital policy and procedures in the outpatient health care work environment.

Responsibilities

• Collect and process patient information to contribute to safe, efficient, compassionate care delivery.
• Coordinate preauthorizations and coding in outpatient settings.
• Utilize medical equipment and communication devices for patient care.
• Communicate with diverse patient groups and interpreters as needed.
• Proficiently use EHR/EMR software to document and manage patient data.
