Job summary

ACE Wellness Center is seeking a Medical Assistant to support integrated mental and physical healthcare through clinical and administrative duties. You will work closely with licensed professionals to aid patient care and keep the clinic welcoming and efficient.

Responsibilities include patient prep, vital signs, assisting exams, EHR documentation, scheduling, insurance verification, and coordination with pharmacies. CMA/RMA preferred; CPR/BLS certification encouraged.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant Certification Program (CMA or RMA preferred).
• CPR/BLS certification (or ability to obtain).
• At least 1 year of healthcare experience preferred; behavioral health experience is a plus.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and EHR systems.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examination including taking vital signs, weight, and medical history.
• Assist physicians and nurses during exams and minor procedures.
• Collect and process lab specimens and document results.
• Administer medications or vaccinations under supervision.
• Sterilize instruments and maintain a clean clinical environment.
• Monitor patient flow to ensure timely service.
