Job summary

North American Mental Health Services is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to support providers and ensure efficient clinical operations. The CMA will perform direct patient care, manage administrative duties, and maintain a welcoming environment for patients and staff.

The role requires CMA/RMA certification with HIPAA-compliant documentation, EHR proficiency, and the ability to work in a fast-paced outpatient setting.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED required.
• CMA/RMA or equivalent certification required, willing to certify within 90 days.
• BLS certification preferred.
• 1 year experience in outpatient or mental health setting preferred.
• Spanish/English bilingual ability required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and support to providers.
• Maintain EHR documentation and patient records with HIPAA compliance.
• Process Rx requests, prior authorizations, and lab results as needed.
• Greet patients, manage check-in/out, and schedule appointments.
• Assist with admin tasks, telehealth, and sample management.
• Perform clinical tasks including vitals, injections under supervision.
