Job summary

The Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences at the Medical University of South Carolina seeks a licensed therapist to join the Addiction Sciences Division's outpatient clinic. The role requires LISW, LPC, or LMFT licensure in South Carolina and a Master’s degree in a related field.

Work hours are 40 per week, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM. You will provide individual and group therapy for addiction and co-occurring psychiatric conditions in a collaborative team setting.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a social work or social welfare program accredited by CSWE or regionally accredited.
• SC licensure as LISW, LPC, or LMFT required or eligible.
• Experience delivering individual and group therapy in addiction/psychiatric settings.

Responsibilities

• Interview clients and families to assess diagnosis, coping, and treatment needs.
• Develop and discuss treatment plans with clients and document progress.
• Coordinate and deliver all treatment services with team collaboration.
• Contribute to discharge planning and referrals.
