Job summary

The Medical University of South Carolina's Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences seeks a licensed therapist (LISW, LPC, or LMFT) to join the Addiction Sciences Division in the Outpatient Clinic. You will provide individual and group therapy for clients with addiction-related and comorbid psychiatric conditions, within a collaborative team.

Responsibilities include assessment, treatment planning, progress documentation, and coordinating care with internal and external resources.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in social work or social welfare (CSWE accredited) required.
• Active licensure as LISW/LPC/LMFT preferred.
• Minimal supervision once licensed.

Responsibilities

• Interview clients and families to assess diagnosis and plan treatment.
• Monitor and adjust treatment plans; document progress.
• Coordinate with internal/external resources for client outcomes.
• Conduct community planning and assess societal factors impacting clients.
