Job summary

The Medical University of South Carolina’s Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences seeks a licensed therapist (LISW, LPC, or LMFT) for the outpatient Addiction Sciences Division. You will provide individual and group therapy to individuals with addiction-related and other psychiatric illnesses and their families, working in a team environment.

Hours are 40 per week, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, salaried/exempt.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a CSWE-accredited social work or regionally accredited program.
• Licensed status in SC: LISW, LPC, or LMFT (preferred).
• Minimal supervision indicated.

Responsibilities

• Interview clients and families to assess diagnosis and needs; develop and discuss treatment plans.
• Follow agency procedures and ensure compliance with treatment planning and discharge processes.
• Plan, implement and coordinate all treatment services; collaborate with internal and external resources.
• Conduct community planning and evaluation related to social functioning.
