Job summary

The Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston and North Charleston seeks a licensed Therapist (LISW/LPC/LMFT) to work in the Outpatient Clinic of the Child and Adolescent Division within the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health Services. The position involves split-time between MUSC Charleston and Pediatrics Northwoods, operating independently within a clinical team.

Candidates must hold an LISW, LPC, or LMFT license in South Carolina, with 40 hours per week and a day shift

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Social Work or Social Welfare program approved by the Council on Social Work Education.
• Master's Degree in Counseling from an accredited program.
• Master's Degree in Marriage/Family Therapy from an accredited program.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct care to patients through the following activities: 20% - Will provide individual and group therapy to individuals and their families.
• 20% - Interviewing clients and or families.
• 20% - Developing and discussing proposed treatment plans with the client and detailing the recommendations and the reasoning for them.
• 20% - Monitoring and documenting the progress of clients and making service treatment plan adjustments as necessary.
• 20% - Takes comprehensive history and performs mental status examinations.

Education

Master's Degree in Social Work or Social Welfare program accredited by the Council on Social Work Education

Master's Degree in Counseling from an accredited program

Master's Degree in Marriage/Family Therapy from an accredited program
