Job summary

Trinity Health's Outpatient Vascular Surgery Office in Latham, NY is seeking a full-time Patient Access Concierge on the Day Shift. The role registers patients, schedules appointments and surgeries, and verifies demographic, clinical, financial, and insurance information during pre-registration.

It involves collecting payments and guiding payment options to clear patients for service delivery. Requires a high school diploma (associate preferred) and 1–3 years in a hospital/clinic or health care

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; Associate degree preferred.
• 1–3 years of experience in hospital/clinic or health care financial service setting.
• Knowledge of insurance programs, billing, and patient financial processes is preferred.
• Basic Microsoft Office skills (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) needed.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; strong data-entry and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Verifies patient identification, demographic information, and insurance coverage.
• Accepts point of service payments.
• Enters patient information into hospital information systems.
• Refers questions about financial liability to appropriate resources.
• Accepts medical authorization or referral forms when appropriate.
• Processes documents to obtain insurance information and payment estimates.
• Educates patients on using registration kiosks or online systems.
• Identifies routine issues and escalates to Lead Patient Access Concierge.
