Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum one year experience in patient access, registration, billing, cash collection, insurance and/or pre-certification in a medical environment preferred.
• One year of Customer Service experience in any field preferred.
• Experience with insurance verification and billing a plus.

Responsibilities

• Process: Capture and enter accurate patient demographic and financial information via interviews and documentation, using the patient management system.
• Compliance: Ensure documentation is complete and complies with federal/state guidelines and The Joint Commission requirements.
• Customer Service: Coordinate with insurance verification and financial counseling to secure appropriate authorization and resolve billing questions.
• Quality/Professional: Maintain professionalism, adapt to changes, and support the revenue cycle through accurate data and timely registrations.
