Job summary

ArborMetrics (AMS) is seeking a Work Planner/Forester to join our vegetation management team. The role involves outdoor fieldwork, safety-driven planning, and data capture for utility vegetation projects.

The candidate should be comfortable hiking ROWs, working with GIS tools, and coordinating with clients and field staff in a fast-paced environment. A valid driver's license and good driving record are required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of tree species identification and hazard assessment.
• Experience with utilities vegetation management practices.

Responsibilities

• Identify and report safety hazards, incidents, and unsafe conditions.
• Follow safety standards for driving, wildfire prevention, and injury prevention.
• Inspect and document vegetation work (pruning/removal) at customer properties.
• Record vegetation data using tablets and specialized software.
• Use forestry computer systems for data entry and tracking.
• Address customer concerns and communicate with leadership, clients, and the public.
• Participate in storm and emergency response duties as needed.
