Job summary

ArborMetrics (AMS) is seeking a Work Planner to join our vegetation management team. This outdoor role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and independent work while serving utility clients.

You will identify hazards, perform field inspections, collect vegetation data with tablets, and utilize forestry software. Travel and physical effort are required in varied weather and terrain conditions.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of tree species identification, hazard tree assessment, invasive species management, and tree growth patterns.
• 30+ semester credits or 45+ quarter credits toward a degree or 2–3 years of UVM experience in lieu of degree.
• Ability to hike ROWs and drive for extended periods; knowledge of Utility Vegetation Management practices.

Responsibilities

• Identify and report safety hazards, incidents, and unsafe conditions.
• Drive to work sites and hiking rights-of-way; document vegetation work.
• Inspect and document vegetation work at customer properties and record data.
• Use tablets and forestry computer systems for data entry and tracking.
