Job summary

ArborMetrics is seeking a Work Planner/Forester to join our field team in vegetation management. This role involves outdoor field work, data collection, and coordination with customers and leadership to ensure safe, compliant operations.

You will identify hazards, inspect vegetation work, and use GIS and Microsoft Office tools to document progress. A dynamic, independent work environment and ongoing training are offered.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of tree species identification and growth patterns.
• Hazard tree assessment and invasive species management.
• Ability to hike ROWs and drive long periods.

Responsibilities

• Identify and report safety hazards, incidents, and unsafe conditions.
• Drive safely to work sites and hike rights-of-way up to 10 miles/day.
• Inspect and document vegetation work at customer properties.
• Record vegetation data using tablets and specialized software.
• Communicate effectively with leadership, auditors, clients, contractors, landowners and the public.
• Participate in storm and emergency response duties as needed.
