Job summary

Desert Adventures in Palm Desert, CA seeks a part-time facilities maintenance person to keep Metate Ranch tour and event spaces in tour-ready condition and to assist with setup and cleanup for weddings and corporate events.

The role involves outdoor maintenance, basic repairs, and operating tools and equipment, with duties including irrigation, lighting, and pathway upkeep. Weekend/holiday work may be required.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English fluently.
• Previous experience in maintenance, landscape, or related fields.
• Familiarity with hand-held tools and equipment.
• Deadline and detail-oriented.
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds.
• California driver’s license and clean DMV record (no DUI’s and no more than one ticket in last 2 years).
• Must be fully vaccinated for COVID (proof of vaccination required).
• Must pass a pre-employment drug test and background check.

Responsibilities

• Maintain outdoor facilities to tour and event ready condition at all times.
• Daily repair, maintenance, and cleanup using hand and small power tools.
• Assist with setup and cleanup for weddings and corporate events at outdoor venues.
• Operate and maintain generators, compressors, a UTV, compact tractor, and other equipment.
• Maintain wiring and lighting for generator-powered lighting system; irrigation pipes and drainage.
• Assist with daily landscape upkeep including weeding, watering, and trimming; clean and sanitize portable restrooms.
