Job summary

Cox Automotive is seeking a Vehicle Check In associate in Dallas, TX. The role involves entering vehicle data into an AS400 system via handheld devices or coordinating with a coworker for data entry as vehicles arrive at the auction.

Responsibilities include labeling vehicles, routing, image capture, safety compliance, and assisting on sale days as needed. Requires good communication and reliable driving record; outdoor work in varied weather conditions.

• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Input accurate vehicle information into the AS400 computer using a handheld terminal or provide information via headset to a coworker for data entry for each vehicle received at the Auction.
• Affix barcode/stock number sticker on each vehicle received.
• Place work order numbers and routing labels on vehicles upon entry.
• Flag 'no key' cars.
• Direct transporters to proper car drop zone.
• Report transport damage as needed.
• Take digital image of vehicle upon receipt.
• Provide sale identification windshield code to the driver during check-in.
• Follow safety and health procedures and model safe behaviors.
• Work with safety leadership to support Safety Excellence.
• Perform other duties as assigned by manager.
• Frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, squat and climb.
